Linda Ellinor

Linda co-founded of The Dialogue Group in 1989 and facilitated training workshops throughout the 1990’s with Glenna Gerard. She specialized in interpersonal communications, collaborative work processes, community building and leadership. Besides co-authoring Dialogue: Rediscover the Transforming Power of Conversation, published by John Wiley, & Sons, in 1998, she has written extensively on the subject of dialogue in the workplace. Her chapter in Banathy & Jenlink’s book: Dialogue as a Means of Collective Communication entitled “Bohm’s Notion of Dialogue: Examining the Philosophical Roots” was published in 2005 by Kluwer Academic/Plenum Publishers. It traces how Bohm slowly developed his notion of dialogue from his background in quantum physics, spiritual connections with Krishnamurti, and participation in dialogue groups with social psychologist Patrick de Mare in London, England.

Linda has over 20 years experience in organizational development consulting. Among her clients are the Environmental Protection Agency, Boeing, Cargill, The Boston Police Force, Bio-Orthobiotec (a division of Johnson & Johnson), The Orange County Transit Authority, the Fetzer Institute, and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Santa Rosa. She has introduced the art and practice of dialogue to a large variety of facilitators and consultants both internal and external in her public seminars. Linda as served on the adjunct faculty of the Center for Creative Leadership between 1988 & 1998. In this capacity she served as trainer and feedback specialist in the Leadership Development Program and others. Before starting her own consulting practice, she worked for over 10 years in strategic planning positions in Exxon Office Systems, AT&T, and International Paper Corporation. She holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BS in business from New York University.

Linda is currently working on her dissertation in completion of a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Her research interests are focused on the adult impact of adverse childhood experience. She is scheduled to complete her dissertation and degree requirements on or before December, 2007.
